London: A Royal Theatre Experience

London: A Royal Theatre Experience

The Royal Theatre on Drury Lane is somewhere you can spend the day visiting if you fancy some theatre history, afternoon tea and a show.

A behind the scenes tour

Learn about the history of the theatre, and London, with a one hour tour taking in the refurbished foyer, the beautiful auditorium and down to the tunnels underneath London.

Discover more about the recently refurbished theatre as 2 actors host a tour reenacting scenes and bringing some of the theatre’s history back to life. Watch out for the grey ghost, hear about why there are two Royal Boxes and a King and Prince’s separate entrances, and much more.

A night at the theatre

Currently on stage at the theatre is Frozen the musical. Nothing beats the buzz of live theatre, and when it’s a Disney show you get to soak up a wonderful atmosphere from a theatre full of tiny Prince and Princesses dressed up and so very excited to see Elsa and her frozen world on stage.

If you’re lucky enough you might see a rehearsal in stage during the tour.

Is there anything better than a night at the theatre, well, yes, when it’s a day at the theatre I guess, especially when you’ve maxed out on the experience and enjoyed every minute of it.
